Why a Superior Door

Our Vision

Superior Doors is proud to have been supplying New Zealanders with high-quality, innovative products for over 25 years. We recognise that in order to do so for the next 25 years, we must commit to preserving New Zealand’s natural heritage. By responsibly sourcing and implementing rigorous waste reduction practices, we strive to minimize our environmental impact. We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment by conserving our water and energy usage, reducing our waste generation, reusing and recycling, and avoiding harmful or toxic chemicals.

Certifications

Declare is an internationally recognised eco-label for products, created with the intention of transparency for consumers. Each product listed on the Declare database has all material components listed to a 0.01wt% accuracy, so consumers can be confident that their products are sustainable, and free of hazardous chemicals.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemical additives that can be found in all kinds of materials, and can be hazardous to human health. Superior Doors has undergone rigorous independent VOC emissions testing, to CDPH standard, to ensure that the doors we manufacture pose no risk to human health.

Our Future

Our team is committed to responsible, sustainable manufacturing and ensuring full compliance with Green Star and Home Star standards. All incoming timber materials used in Superior Doors interior doors are FSC chain of custody certified, and we are striving to achieve our own certification. Superior Doors aims to achieve an FSC chain of custody certification, which will bring our responsible product value (RPV) above the best-in-class threshold of 12.

ISO14001 is a globally recognised environmental management system that ensures responsible manufacturing and customer confidence. We aim to achieve certification to reinforce our sustainability commitment and divert 85% of manufacturing waste from landfill by 2026.
